AH Underground Solutions Inc. is currently seeking an experienced HDD Locator to join our growing team. We specialize in water, sewer, fibre and underground utility installations throughout Alberta.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of HDD locating experience
- Experience with fibre optic, water, and sewer installations
- Experience working with various size drill rigs
- Experience in the maintenance aspect of drills.
- Ability to read and interpret utility locates and plans
- Knowledge of safe ground disturbance practices
- Strong communication skills between locator, driller, and ground crew
- Ability to work in various weather and site conditions
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 considered an asset)
- EPCOR orientated and experienced an asset
Responsibilities
- Locate and track drill head accurately during HDD operations
- Maintain safe clearances around existing utilities
- Assist with drill setup and daily inspections
- Communicate continuously with drill operator and crew
- Ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Experience
- Experience with Vermeer and P80 drilling equipment
