Job Overview
We're looking for a motivated, customer-focused Cashier to join our cafe team. This person will be the face of our cafe - greeting guests, running the register, delivering food, and helping keep the space clean and welcoming. We're looking for someone who genuinely cares about the place they work in and takes pride in creating a great experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet every guest warmly, take orders accurately, and answer questions about menu items with a friendly, helpful attitude.
- POS Operations: Accurately operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process orders, handle cash and card payments, apply discounts/promotions, and issue receipts.
- Menu Knowledge: Learn and stay up to date on our full menu, including ingredients, specials, and seasonal items, to confidently answer customer questions and make recommendations.
- Running Food: Deliver food and beverage orders to tables or pickup counters promptly and accurately.
- Cleanliness & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the entire cafe - including the counter, dining area, condiment station, and any other guest-facing spaces - throughout each shift.
- Team Support: Communicate effectively with kitchen and cafe staff to ensure smooth, efficient service.
- Cash Handling: Balance the cash drawer at the start/end of shifts and follow proper cash-handling procedures.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
