Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Parts / Inventory Specialist to manage and oversee inventory levels, procurement, and supply chain operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealership environments, supply chain management, and inventory control systems. This role involves ensuring the availability of parts and materials necessary for manufacturing or service operations, maintaining accurate data entry, and supporting procurement processes to optimize operational efficiency.
Duties
- Manage and maintain inventory levels using ERP systems and CMMS software to ensure accurate stock counts and availability.
- Coordinate purchasing and sourcing activities to acquire parts efficiently while negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.
- Conduct data entry related to inventory transactions, purchase orders, and supplier information with high accuracy.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to forecast demand planning needs based on production schedules or service requirements.
- Assist in sourcing new suppliers and evaluating vendor performance to optimize supply chain performance.
- Support manufacturing or dealership operations by providing timely parts availability and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed for inventory movement.
- Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring compliance with safety standards and proper labeling of parts.
- Utilize ERP systems and other software tools to track inventory levels, order status, and procurement history.
- Provide excellent customer service internally by responding promptly to parts requests from technicians or sales teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dealership parts departments, manufacturing environments, or supply chain management.
- Strong data entry skills with proficiency in ERP systems, CMMS, or similar inventory management software.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and negotiation techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with automotive, or industrial equipment is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records.
