Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your expertise in automotive systems combined with excellent communication skills will ensure a positive customer experience, efficient service delivery, and increased sales through upselling additional services. The ideal candidate will have dealership or mechanic experience, a solid understanding of automotive repair processes, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to their vehicle concerns to accurately diagnose service needs
- Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing recommendations based on mechanical knowledge
- Prepare detailed service estimates and communicate costs effectively to customers
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
- Upsell additional services or products that benefit the customer while increasing shop revenue
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain proper documentation
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain organized records of service history and customer interactions in the dealership management system
- Assist in promoting dealership services, special offers, and warranty programs to maximize sales opportunities
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or mechanic background is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
- Proven sales ability with experience in upselling services or products
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality service standards
