The Assistant Tennis Professional duties, as directed by the Head of Tennis, will include coaching adult, junior group and private lessons and assist in running internal and external tournaments and increasing participation within the program at all levels.
Key Accountabilities
1. Under the direction and supervision of the Head of Tennis organize, administrate, operate, supervise and coach CWC dynamic and progressive Tennnis programs.
2. Prepare and conduct Tennis clinics, group lessons, and private lessons in all available court times including early mornings, evenings and weekends, with the intention to improve the overall caliber of play of CWC members.
3. Encourage and promote participation in all Tennis programs and activities.
4. Assist in the organization, administration, and supervision of all house leagues, ladders, competitions, tournaments, and all other Tennis related programs.
5. Work collaboratively and cohesively with all Tennis professionals, instructors and admin staff.
6. Accompany and coach CWC junior players at junior tournaments; aiming to continually improve the competitive level of the junior program.
7. Supervise and monitor Tennis facilities and court bookings and enforce Club Rules and Regulations concerning the use of the Tennis facilities.
8. Provide Tennis Desk services as needed
Qualifications
1. Level 1 NCCP certification / CP1; or international equivalent or higher
2. Minimum 3yrs experience as a club professional; private, public, college/university
3. Playing skill level; 5.0 and above
4. Singles and Doubles playing and teaching experience essential
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
6. Extensive experience planning, organizing and executing tournaments of all sizes
7. Current Basic Rescuer CPR and First-Aid Certification
8. Comprehensive computer and administrative skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
