About Us
National Paving is a growing asphalt paving contractor specializing in residential, commercial, municipal, and industrial paving projects throughout Eastern Ontario. We take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
We are currently looking for an experienced Paver Operator to join our paving crew for the upcoming season.
Responsibilities
- Operate and control an asphalt paver safely and efficiently.
- Maintain proper paving speed, mat thickness, and head of material.
- Work closely with roller operators, truck drivers, and labourers to produce a smooth, quality finished product.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and complete required inspection reports.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Assist with equipment cleaning and routine maintenance.
- Follow grade, slope, and paving specifications.
- Ensure work is completed safely while complying with company policies and Ontario health and safety regulations.
- Assist with other paving crew duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating an asphalt paver is required.
- Experience with commercial, municipal, and residential paving projects.
- Ability to maintain consistent paving quality and productivity.
- Knowledge of asphalt paving procedures and best practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.
- Valid G driver's licence required (DZ licence is an asset).
- Ability to work long hours during the paving season, including occasional weekends.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physically fit and capable of performing construction-related tasks.

Required PPE
Employees are required to wear:
- CSA-approved work boots
- High-visibility shirt or vest
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses
- Appropriate work pants (jeans or cargo-style work pants)
