Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Automotive Apprentice Technician to join our dealership team. Duties
- Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles using various tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to complete repair and assembly work accurately
- Support in welding, mechanical repairs, and vehicle diagnostics as needed
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and working with heavy machinery or parts
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Learn to read technical manuals and schematics to understand vehicle systems better
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers about repair needs and status
Skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in automotive repair and maintenance
- Experience or familiarity with dealership operations is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and schematics for vehicle diagnostics and repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail for accurate assembly and troubleshooting
- Good communication skills for working within a team and interacting with customers
- Willingness to learn welding techniques, vehicle schematics, and advanced automotive systems
- Prior mechanic experience or dealership experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for all necessary skills
