Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical/Plumbing Project Manager/Coordinator to lead and oversee complex mechanical and plumbing construction projects from inception to completion. Duties
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of mechanical and plumbing construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Review and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately coordinate project scope and specifications.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless communication and project alignment.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or Civil 3D to track progress, manage documentation, and control project costs.
- Prepare accurate construction estimates by applying expertise in construction estimating techniques.
- Oversee procurement processes using construction management tools to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Conduct site visits regularly to monitor safety compliance, quality standards, and progress; address issues proactively.
- Manage project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar tools; adjust plans as needed to meet project milestones.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and daily reports.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to mechanical/plumbing systems.
- Strong experience with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid or similar platforms.
- Expertise in construction estimating processes for mechanical/plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles relevant to heavy infrastructure projects.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with heavy civil or infrastructure projects is a plus.
