We are growing and have opportunities for talented professionals. As Transportation coordinator for our Calgary terminal, you will actively manage the following key activities and responsibilities.
Position Overview and responsibilities:
The Transport Coordinator will oversee the all operations, improve and streamline the logistics processes. You will develop networks, hiring drivers and brokers and talented team members. You will perform all day-today duties required including document preparation. A roll-up-your-sleeve mentality and entrepreneurial attitude is required.
- Coordinate and supervise daily transportation and warehouse operations.
- Plan, optimize, and dispatch delivery routes based on daily volume and capacity.
- Support and communicate with drivers throughout the day to resolve delivery issues and ensure service levels are met.
- Monitor route performance and make real-time operational adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate LTL shipments and special delivery requests.
- Oversee loading, unloading, sorting, and staging of freight.
- Balance route volumes to maximize efficiency and service performance.
- Ensure driver training, compliance, and documentation requirements are maintained.
- Track delivery performance, proof of delivery, and operational KPIs.
- Respond to customer and driver inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within transportation and warehouse operations.
Experience Required:
1-2 years in a dispatch/Logistics work experience
Solid understanding of transportation and geography.
Operations experience with courier, LTL, TL modes of transport
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Strong Leadership skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
