```Duties```
- welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
- Collect and process payments from patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
-Assist physician with patient tasks, performing patient blood pressure, heart rate and electrocardiograms. Assist physician with technical duties of rhythm monitoring.
```Requirements```
-Medical Office Assistant Certification with a certified program in Canada.
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting preferred
- Proficient in using front desk phone systems and other office equipment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
