Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Permanent Office Clerk 2 for Camilla School.
Located just 15 minutes northwest of St. Albert, Camilla School moved into its new building in 2022. With 500 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 9, the school is recognized for its strong academic culture and dedication to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Reporting to the Principal, the Office Clerk provides support to both the Administrative Assistant and Finance Clerk. As the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, this position is instrumental in fostering positive relationships and maintaining smooth school operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintain student attendance records using the school’s student data system
Update student documentation for emergency procedures and medical protocols
Support student supervision as directed by administration (e.g., recess, in-school suspension, test supervision)
Prepare emergency documentation in alignment with Hour Zero procedures
Coordinate field trip logistics, including booking buses and ordering supplies
Assist with planning, organizing, and delivering school events
Provide reception and communication support for staff, families, and community members
Maintain visitor logs and ensure adherence to safety procedures
Support internal and external communications, including social media updates and school signage
Monitor hot lunch orders and process related payments
Provide first aid and medication administration as per training
Assist with routine clerical tasks and general office duties as required by the Administrative Assistant or Principal
What You Bring
Administrative Assistant Certificate or High School Diploma with a minimum of one year of related office experience
Current First Aid certification
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and fee management software
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and ethical judgment
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively
Friendly, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
