Annabelle's Kitchen Marda Loop is seeking an experienced and driven Junior Sous Chef to join our leadership team.
This position is ideal for a cook who is ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in leading daily kitchen operations. We are looking for someone who leads by example, maintains high standards, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sous & Head Chef in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff during prep and service
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution
- Assist with scheduling, ordering, inventory management, and food cost control
- Train, mentor, and develop team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and company standards
- Step into a leadership role during the Head Chef's absence
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional kitchen experience
- Previous leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant environment preferred
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food costing, and inventory management
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Food Safe Certification considered an asset
