Position Summary
The Hospitality Manager is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of the College Café and the Student Massage Therapy Clinic. This role provides leadership in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining efficient business operations, and creating a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, clients, and visitors.
The Hospitality Manager oversees café operations, clinic reception and scheduling, retail sales, inventory control, and staff supervision, while ensuring compliance with applicable health, safety, and privacy regulations. The position also supports the educational mission of the College by providing an organized, professional environment in which Massage Therapy students can complete their clinical education and members of the public receive high-quality customer service related to both the Clinic and the Café.
Key Responsibilities
Café Operations
- Manage the daily operation of the College Café.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, customer service, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Develop café procedures that promote efficiency and consistency.
- Monitor food preparation and service standards.
- Coordinate opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced as required.
- Develop seasonal menus and promotional offerings.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement service improvements.
Student Massage Therapy Clinic Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Student Massage Therapy Clinic.
- Manage clinic reception and front desk services.
- Schedule client appointments and coordinate student clinic schedules.
- Ensure efficient client flow throughout clinic sessions.
- Maintain client records in accordance with privacy legislation and College policies.
- Coordinate client intake documentation and consent forms.
- Assist with clinic events, promotional initiatives, and community outreach activities.
- Maintain a welcoming, professional environment for all clients.
Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, clients, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Respond to inquiries in person, by telephone, and electronically.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere throughout the café and clinic.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
