Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and customer-focused Flooring Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with clients to understand their flooring needs, providing expert product guidance, and driving sales through exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sales experience, and a passion for home renovation and construction projects. Multilingual abilities and familiarity with high-end sales or product demos are a plus. As a Flooring Sales Associate, you will play a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction and contributing to the growth of our retail and inside sales operations.
Duties
- Engage with customers in-store and outside sales environments to assess their flooring needs and recommend suitable products.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling procedures.
- Upsell premium products and additional services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assist clients with remodeling, renovation, or construction projects by providing expert advice on flooring options and installation processes.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through effective account management and follow-up communications.
- Utilize marketing strategies to attract new clients and promote ongoing promotions or new product lines.
- Organize merchandising displays to enhance product visibility and appeal within the showroom.
- Collaborate with team members on inside sales initiatives, product demos, and promotional events.
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions, sales activities, and inventory levels.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, inside sales, or outside sales; experience in high-end or luxury sales is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for transaction accuracy.
- Experience with renovation, construction, or remodeling projects enhances understanding of client needs.
- Skills in negotiation, upselling, merchandising, and customer service are essential for success in this role.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple client interactions and maintain detailed records.
- Ability to demonstrate products effectively through demos or presentations.
- A proactive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse clientele.
