Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components for landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.
Your mission will be to ensure the physical flows (incoming and outgoing) from the reception of components or raw materials to the shipping of finished products to internal and external customers. Support the reliability and safety of inventory from reception, control, storage, packaging, and shipping.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Lead logistics
- Ensure coordination and information exchange between internal and external stakeholders.
- Propose flexibility actions to absorb occasional overloads and smooth the workload.
- Propose and implement the means and tools necessary for the smooth running of operations.
- Ensure daily operational monitoring (costs, quality, deadlines, HSE) as well as monitoring of transport and customs.
- Ensure the organization of stocks in accordance with storage rules and 5S rules.
- Act as the GDA (Document Management and Archiving) correspondent for the reception-shipping department.
- Ensure that system inventories are consistent with physical reality.
- Manage the aeronautical parts warehouse
- Ensure the sustainability of the PCA (Business Continuity Plan)
Provide operational support
- Perform daily tasks related to the launch of manufacturing orders.
- Perform daily tasks related to subcontracting management.
- Perform daily internal and external tasks related to the management of matrix coupons. Report and address discrepancies.
- Conduct inventories according to rules and ensure that system data is consistent with physical reality.
Ensure transport on sale
- Perform daily tasks related to local and international shipping.
- Perform daily tasks related to processing transport invoices, report and address discrepancies.
- Conduct and communicate the monthly analysis of budget variances according to the ORM schedule.
Ensure the handling of non-conformities and disputes related to logistics.
- Control the billing of services and follow up on disputes.
- Report customer priority conflicts, communicate priorities.
- Resolve transport disputes and manage incidents.
- Conduct QRQC / RPO.
Let's talk about you
Requirements:
- DEC in production management, industrial engineering, or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of experience in continuous improvement
- Knowledge and understanding of MRP2 principles
- APICS Basics of supply chain management (an asset)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in French and English to interact with other Safran sites and partners.
