Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist Orthodontist during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions while addressing their questions and concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software including treatment notes and billing information.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored to pediatric and adult patients.
Requirements
- Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Familiarity with sterilization protocols, infection control standards, and safety regulations within the clinical environment.
