The Carleton is looking for a hardworking, passionate individual who loves local food, drink, and music to join our team of talented cooks.
Compensation: $16.75–$18.75/hour, based on experience, plus participation in the kitchen tip pool.
Professional kitchen experience is considered an asset, but not required. What matters most is a strong willingness to learn, a respect for professionalism and teamwork, and a commitment to food safety and continuous improvement.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation
- Execute daily prep and service tasks as directed by the Chef de Cuisine
- Prepare ingredients and station mise en place for smooth, efficient service
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating delivered products
- Support inventory management and stock control
- Show up ready to learn, improve, and contribute every day
- Stay curious about food trends, classic techniques, and industry developments
- Deliver timely and accurate service during busy periods
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to provide excellent guest experiences

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, twisting, and repetitive movement
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Comfortable working on stairs and in a physically demanding environment
Additional Information
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Only local candidates will be considered
- Full-time position (approximately 8.5-hour shifts)
- Must be available weekdays, weekends, and select holidays
