Job Overview
Dogtopia of Aurora Village is searching for an ambitious, highly self-motivated Marketing, Events & Social Media Manager to help tell our story, grow our community, and create memorable experiences for our clients and their dogs.
This isn't a role where you'll simply follow a template—you'll have the creative freedom to bring new ideas to life, build meaningful community partnerships, create exciting campaigns, and make a real impact on a rapidly growing business.
As our Marketing, Events & Social Media Manager, you'll be responsible for bringing the Dogtopia brand to life both online and in the community.
Responsibilities
- Planning and executing our monthly marketing calendar.
- Designing engaging graphics and promotional materials.
- Creating and scheduling social media content across multiple platforms.
- Producing eye-catching photo, video, Reel, and TikTok content that showcases the excitement of Dogtopia.
- Writing weekly and monthly newsletters and promotional campaigns.
- Coordinating and promoting special events both at Dogtopia and throughout the community.
- Organizing quarterly Vendor Markets hosted at Dogtopia of Aurora Village.
- Representing Dogtopia at local community events and vendor markets.
- Building relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners.
- Collaborating on cross-promotional marketing initiatives with:
- Dogtopia of Aurora Village
- Bone & Biscuit Aurora
- Anna's Rescue & SanKtuary
- Working closely with our leadership team to continuously develop new marketing initiatives and creative campaigns.

- Comfortable capturing photos and videos in an active daycare environment filled with happy, playful dogs.
- Social Media Experience is Essential
We're looking for someone who already has experience creating engaging social media content, including:
- Instagram Reels
- TikTok videos
- Facebook content
- Photography
- Infographics
- Short-form video editing (30–60 second videos)
To be considered, applicants MUST include links to their social media accounts, portfolio, or examples of content they have personally created.

Required qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Previous experience creating social media content
Preferred experience
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing or a related field
- Experience in the pet industry
- Event planning or community engagement experience
