Please note: This is an on-demand, casual delivery role for a brand-new service with volume-dependent opportunities. As we grow and scale, the frequency of available delivery requests will increase in tandem with customer order volume
About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, respectful, and customer-focused Delivery Driver to bring the store experience to our customers’ doors! As a contractor, you’ll play a key part in ensuring safe, discreet, and timely delivery of legal cannabis products. This is a casual, independent contractor position, ideal for someone who thrives on flexibility, professionalism, and autonomy - while contributing to a positive cannabis culture in the community.
The successful incumbent may pursue other non-conflicting work while operating on-demand.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver cannabis orders safely, professionally, and within designated timeframes
- Confirm customer identity and age (valid government-issued photo ID)
- Follow delivery instructions precisely
- Use mobile apps for navigation, route management, and communication
- Be responsive to dispatch communications during active deliveries and while you are online/available in the app
- Keep your vehicle clean, organized, and roadworthy
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, the in-store team, and customers
- Flag any delivery or route issues promptly
- Handle customer payments or floats when applicable
- Uphold privacy, professionalism, and regulatory compliance at all times
- Provide courteous, respectful, and informed service

- Flexible - Comfortable picking up delivery requests during peak periods (often evenings, weekends, and holidays), based on your availability
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with strong spoken and written English skills
- Must live in or near Calgary, AB and be familiar with the city and surrounding areas
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Clean criminal record and driving abstract
- Valid AGLC SellSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
- Must possess a reliable, roadworthy vehicle with valid insurance
- Active smartphone with data plan

Contractor Expectations
- Toggle online when you want to receive delivery opportunities and toggle offline when you’re done
- Respond to dispatch/app notifications when you are online and/or actively completing a delivery
- Keep a fully charged smartphone with data plan available for use during all deliveries
- Responsible for fuel, insurance, maintenance, and upkeep of personal vehicle
- Winter tires recommended in cold months
- Notify dispatch of issues without delay during active deliveries
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism
- Responsible for own taxes, CPP/EI (if applicable), vehicle maintenance, and insurance
