Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Layer with a strong background in sanitary sewer installation as well as water line installation. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in pipe laying and underground utility work, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment with a focus on safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, align, and grade sanitary sewer lines with a focus on gravity sewer lines, water lines, and related underground utilities.
- Interpret construction drawings, site plans, and specifications.
- Ensure proper trench safety, bedding, backfill, and compaction methods.
- Set laser levels and grade checking equipment for accurate pipe installation.
- Work closely with equipment operators and site supervisors to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Inspect pipes and joints to verify alignment, sealing, and proper installation.
- Maintain a safe and organized worksite in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Perform other related duties as required in civil earthworks and utility installation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pipe Layer, experience with gravity sewer installation is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with water line installation.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and grade stakes.
- Skilled in setting up and using lasers and other grade checking equipment.
- Knowledge of trench safety, shoring, and confined space procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and capable of working in varying site conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
