Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Cook. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the food industry, with a focus on providing exceptional service and ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. Hours and Perks
- Monday to Friday (No stat holidays): 8 AM to close. May start earlier if there are events
- Weekends as needed for events
- Free parking on-site
Duties
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Support the serving staff by delivering orders promptly and accurately
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- 2+ years previous experience as a Cook
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality presentation and consistency of dishes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and servers
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during busy service hours
