District Beta is a locally owned arcade bar in Sarnia, Ontario. We've got virtual reality, a retro console lounge, racing simulators, arcade cabinets, and a full licensed bar. We run birthday parties, corporate events, esports tournaments, and a weekly community gaming scene, and we're looking for someone who can keep up with all of it and actually enjoy it.
This isn't just a floor staff job. A big part of what we do is host birthday parties, and whoever steps into this role needs to be comfortable owning that experience from start to finish. That means greeting families, getting the kids pumped up, walking everyone through the games, and making sure the whole thing runs smoothly. If you're someone who dreads talking to people, this probably isn't the right fit.
Day to day you'll be helping customers navigate our games, troubleshooting any tech issues that come up, working behind the bar, and handling cash. It's a busy environment and things move fast, especially on weekends.
Here's what we need from you:
- Customer service experience
- Valid Smart Serve
- A personality that works well with kids, parents, groups, and regulars.
- Tech comfort is helpful since we're running VR and simulators, but we'll train the right person.
- Video game knowledge is a bonus but we're not going to quiz you.
What actually matters most is that you show up with energy and make people feel like they're in good hands. That part we can't teach.
