Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Plant and Supply Chain Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations and supply chain activities within our facility. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong knowledge of process improvement, and manufacturing best practices. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production workflows, optimize inventory management, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall plant performance. Duties
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently and safely.
- Manage supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory control, and logistics coordination using SAP and other ERP systems.
- Oversee material planning and MRP activities to align supply with production demands.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve quality control.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process improvements, equipment maintenance, and assembly line efficiencies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality standards, and supply chain effectiveness.
- Lead efforts in process standardization, documentation, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide leadership and training to team members, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous development.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing supervision or supply chain management within a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms; experience with MRP is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and assembly processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies including lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to analyze data for decision-making and operational planning.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field is preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
This role is integral to maintaining efficient plant operations while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within our manufacturing environment.
Pay: $50,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
