Duties
- As a Water Treatment & Pump Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnose and repair water treatment equipment.
- Service and maintain existing water treatment systems, including:
- Water softeners
- Reverse osmosis systems
- Iron filters
- UV disinfection systems
- Other residential and commercial water treatment equipment
- Install new water treatment systems and replace existing equipment.
- Install and modify plumbing associated with water treatment systems.
- Repair and replace water well pumps, jet pumps, pressure systems, low-yield systems, and well extensions.
- Perform water well cleanings and system maintenance.
- Collect, document, and analyze field data.
- Troubleshoot plumbing and basic electrical issues.
- Recommend appropriate solutions based on customers' water quality needs.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while representing MacLellan Water Treatment & Pumps professionally.
Experience
- The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the water treatment industry or a related technical field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Plumbing experience.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs.
Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Basic hand tools.
- CSA-approved steel-toed safety footwear.
- A positive attitude and dependable work ethic.
