Snowdon Pharmacy is looking to add an energetic, friendly, and organized Pharmacy Assistant to our team. We are a customer-first retail pharmacy with a growing focus in compounding, proudly serving downtown Toronto.
Our ideal candidate is someone who:

Primary Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and assist patients with inquiries, referring to the pharmacist when appropriate
- Process, fill, and prepare prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Support insurance billing and third-party adjudication. Experience calling third party insurances is valuable
- Strong and efficient data entry skills using fillware for regular and compounded mixtures
- Assist with non-sterile compounding (training provided if needed)
- Receive and organize pharmacy supplies and maintain inventory
- Support delivery coordination and phone fulfillment
- Assist with pick up and checking out
- Perform scanning, filing, and general administrative tasks efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized front shop
- Order and receive items for front shop as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area, including routine cleaning tasks and waste handling.
- Always maintain patient confidentiality.
- Follow all safety, security, and confidentiality policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 year experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a community pharmacy (required)
- Experience with data entry and insurance billing in fillware (required)
- Experience with compounding is an asset
- Very strong attention to detail, with ability to work in a fast-paced, zero-defect environment
- Demonstrated ability to be accountable for work produced and action taken is required
- Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building customer loyalty
- Effective organizational skills, ability to multi task
- Proficient with current PC systems and MS Office programs
- Interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships and positive work environment.
- Language skills to communicate clearly and listen carefully in a respectful manner.
- Receptive to constructive feedback for continuous improvement
- Experience with Fillware software is an asset
- Fluent in English
