We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Optometric Assistant/Receptionist. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various administrative and clinical tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
```Responsibilities```
- Greet patients and assist with check-in procedures
- Perform pre-testing for the optometrists including auto/refraction, OCT, verification of spectacles, and visual fields
- Helping patients with eyewear selection and ordering, dispensing and small frame repairs
- Handle front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and answering phone calls, responding to e-mails and texts

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient care
- Knowledge of optical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry
- Previous experience in optometry office with experience with pre-testing is an asset
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks and schedules
