The Opportunity
Construction is one of the largest industries on Earth, and one of the last to be transformed by software. Buildings are still designed with tools that make skilled experts spend weeks manually drawing what machines should generate in minutes. Augmenta is building the foundation model for construction that automates this building design process.
Electrical contractors are using it on live commercial projects right now, cutting modeling time by up to 6X. Over 40 buildings (from elementary schools to hyperscale datacenters) designed with ACP have already been built or are being built. After years of R&D, we have a product customers demonstrably love - and a roadmap that's far bigger than the product we've built so far.
That's why we're hiring a Senior Product Manager: to own the product execution of ACP and drive it through its most exciting phase - from a breakthrough product to the platform an entire industry designs in. Learn more at www.augmenta.ai
What makes this role different
- Real authority. This isn't a role where you only write tickets and manage a backlog. You will own feature and priority decisions for the product, and work with the CPO to set high-level product strategy.
- A frontier in every direction. The near-term roadmap makes our design loop excellent end to end. Beyond it: expanding to new trades and workflows, developing new interaction paradigms, and setting new fundamental research directions. Some of this is shipping, some is being specced, and some is a blank page waiting for the process you'll lead.
- Deep problems, close to the metal. ACP sits at the intersection of machine learning, computational geometry, and 3D interaction. You'll work directly with a strong engineering team that will expect, and reward, deep technical reasoning.
- Direct line to customers. Our users are expert construction professionals who will tell you exactly what they think. You'll be in their world constantly - on calls, in interviews, inside their projects - with an in-house team of ex-industry SMEs as your guides to one of the deepest domains in software.
Why Join Us?
We are a team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in construction design. Up to 30% of new building materials go to waste through mis-ordering and rework, while buildings consume 40% of global energy and resources. You will work on cutting-edge technology, tackle genuinely hard problems, and address the root cause of this waste. The tools you deliver to customers will be used to design and build real-world systems and will make a lasting impact on how we construct our built environment.
