0.571 FTE Secondary Teacher
A.L. Fortune Secondary School
This is a temporary assignment effective immediately to January 27, 2027 or to return of teacher to full contractual FTE whichever comes first.
The assignment consists of teaching Explorations (languages) 7/8 and 1 block to be determined in consultation with the principal.
Qualifications:

Bachelor of Arts or Education (Secondary emphasis);

Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch.
Teachers applying for this position must possess the following attributes:

academic credentials and/or experience in the subjects noted above;

a working knowledge of the current curriculum in the subjects noted above;

demonstrated successful experience teaching at the secondary level;

evidence of ability to motivate secondary students;

demonstrated use of a variety of instructional and assessment strategies including criterion referencing and formative assessment;

commitment to involving parents in the learning of their children.
