Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical systems within a dynamic construction environment. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills, learn industry standards, and work alongside experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist with electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting under supervision, contributing to the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
Duties
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across various projects.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and component placement.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, stripping, connecting, and securing electrical components.
- Work with low voltage wiring and systems as part of project requirements.
- Support the setup of electrical panels, conduit runs, and other infrastructure components.
- Follow safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Help troubleshoot electrical issues by inspecting wiring, connections, and equipment under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety on-site.
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in industrial electrician work or electrical systems is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts such as schematics, blueprints, low voltage wiring, and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction environments is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work safely around electrical equipment and adhere to all safety guidelines.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing for extended periods, and working at heights or in confined spaces if necessary.
- Construction experience or background is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be willing to learn quickly and demonstrate a proactive attitude towards skill development.
Pay: $25.08-$33.44 per hour
