Operating from multiple locations in the Niagara Region with loyal clientele, we are a one-stop shop for a variety of horticulture businesses, including orchards, vineyards, greenhouses and more.
We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile Operations Support professional to join our team. This dynamic role combines customer engagement, logistics, and inventory management, offering you the opportunity to build strong, lasting relationships while contributing to the continued growth of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Sales Support:
- Contribute to enhancing sales processes, maintaining consistent brand presence and product awareness.
- Facilitate sales and order fulfillment while cultivating long-term client relationships.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
Order Fulfillment & Logistics:
- Assist in picking orders and working closely with warehouse staff to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with growers, staff, and vendors to streamline product availability and order processing.
- Manage inventory using technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency in stock levels and resource allocation.
Transportation & Coordination:
- Assist in daily logistics, including coordinating deliveries and transportation routes.
- Work with carriers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any shipping or transportation issues.
- Prepare necessary documentation for order fulfillment and delivery.
Problem Resolution:
- Proactively address and resolve any logistics-related challenges, such as unloading issues, order discrepancies, or delivery delays.
- Maintain strong communication channels with customers, growers, and other warehouses to ensure smooth operations and timely information flow.
Additional Support:
- Take on other tasks as needed to support warehouse operations and business needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background: A diploma or bachelor's degree in business, agriculture or a related field is preferred but not required
- Experience: 2+ years in a similar or logistics related role, ideally within agriculture or horticulture
- Industry knowledge: familiarity with horticulture processes, crop protection products is an asset
- Skills and Abilities: strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive independently and within a collaborative, fast-paced team
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Proficiency in inventory management and logistics software
- Availability for occasional paid overtime, particularly during our busy summer season

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
