Department: Diagnostic Imaging - Radiology
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Experience/Knowledge:
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario required
- Five years Diagnostic Imaging experience required
- Experience in the performance of the duties of a Medical Radiation Technologist in Radiology is required
- Experience in Mammography and Computed Tomography an asset
- Knowledge of OPSEU collective agreement, payroll and time sheets is an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of Meditech Expanse required
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control principles / application for the area required
- Previous experience with coordination / performance and orientation of new staff required
- Demonstrated knowledge of computerized systems is required
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and liaise with service representatives on maintenance/repairs required
- Ability to write policies and procedures as well as data spreadsheets is required
- Ability to work closely with the radiologists to help develop, optimize and maintain protocols and procedures
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and work collaboratively with all members of the health team required
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of client groups to ensure patient-focused care, delivery and positive customer relations required
- Relevant Continuing Education required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required
- Good attendance and work record required
- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure their safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
- Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
