Type: Part-time, with potential to grow into a full-time role

About the opportunity
We are looking for a creative, organized, and dependable Part-Time Marketing Coordinator to work closely with the Founder in person. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys personal branding, content, media, entrepreneurship, and being part of meaningful conversations with founders, professionals, and business leaders.
You will help bring founder-led ideas, video content, events, and client-facing initiatives to life. The role starts at approximately 10–15 hours per week, with room to grow into a larger or full-time position as the business grows and the fit is strong.
This is not a desk-only social media role. You will be involved in real business activity: content shoots, podcast-style conversations, founder events, selected meetings, and relationship-building opportunities in Calgary.
What you will do
Working directly with the Founder, you will support content, media, marketing coordination, and selected client-facing initiatives.
Your work may include:
- Helping plan and organize founder-led content for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
- Supporting video shoots, podcast-style conversations, interviews, and local business events.
- Capturing behind-the-scenes photos and short video moments during shoots, meetings, and events.
- Helping identify strong stories, quotes, insights, and content opportunities from real founder conversations and business activity.
- Maintaining a simple content calendar and helping ensure approved content is organized, ready, and published on time.
- Assisting with captions, post drafts, content ideas, basic research, and content repurposing.
- Coordinating with video editors, designers, photographers, and creative partners when needed.
- Attending selected events and meetings alongside the Founder to help welcome guests, support the experience, capture relevant moments, and keep track of meaningful connections.
- Maintaining organized notes on key conversations, introductions, opportunities, and agreed next steps so that relationship follow-up is timely and thoughtful.
- Helping prepare simple follow-up notes, recap messages, event materials, and marketing communications after meetings or events.
- Supporting selected client content, communication, and coordination tasks as the business grows.
- Keeping files, content assets, project notes, deadlines, approvals, feedback, and next steps organized.
The Founder will provide the strategy, message, direction, ideas, and final approvals. Your role is to help turn those priorities into polished, consistent execution while bringing your own creativity, care, and initiative.
What we are looking for
This role may be a strong fit if you are:
- Currently based in Calgary and able to work in person for scheduled shoots, meetings, and events.
- Available approximately 10–15 hours per week to start, with some flexibility for occasional evening events.
- Interested in marketing, media, personal branding, social media, video/podcast content, events, or entrepreneurship.
- Comfortable speaking with people in professional settings and helping create a warm, organized, welcoming experience at events.
- Organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and good at remembering follow-ups and managing small but important details.
- A clear and confident written communicator.
- Comfortable using LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Canva, Google Workspace, and basic digital tools.
- Able to notice a good story, useful insight, interesting quote, or content opportunity.
- Comfortable working directly with a founder in a fast-moving but supportive environment.
- Proactive and curious, while also comfortable asking questions when direction is needed.
- Interested in learning how content, media, client experience, relationships, and strategic follow-up contribute to sustainable business growth.
Experience with Canva, CapCut, photography, video editing, event support, podcast production, content scheduling, CRM tools, client communication, or social media is an asset—but you do not need to be an expert in every area.
