Overview
We are seeking a talented and personable Hairstylist/Barber to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to helping clients look and feel their best, maintaining high standards of sanitation, and contributing to a welcoming salon environment. Previous experience in hair styling, barbering, or related fields is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair cutting, styling, coloring, and grooming services tailored to client preferences
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable styles or treatments
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Upsell retail hair care products and additional services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and processing payments
- Build lasting relationships with clients through excellent customer service and personalized attention
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques to continually improve skills and service offerings
Skills
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to connect with diverse clients
- Expertise in hair styling, cutting, coloring, and grooming techniques
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Ability to effectively upsell products and additional services in a professional manner
- Excellent communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration
- Experience with retail sales within a salon setting is a plus
- Front desk experience is desirable for managing appointments and client interactions
