Shipper/ReceiverPosition Summary
We are seeking a reliable and organized Shipper/Receiver to join our tank manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring all products and materials are handled safely and efficiently. This role plays a critical part in supporting production schedules and delivering high-quality products to our customers on time. This is a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Unload trucks and safely move materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment.
- Organize and store raw materials, components, and finished goods in designated locations.
- Maintain and organize the shipping yard, ensuring tanks, materials, trailers, and equipment are properly staged, identified, and stored.
- Coordinate the movement of tanks and large fabricated assemblies within the yard to support shipping and production schedules.
- Keep the shipping yard clean, safe, and free of obstructions while ensuring efficient use of available space.
- Pick, package, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
- Load finished tanks and related equipment onto trucks for delivery.
- Complete shipping and receiving documentation accurately, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory records.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular counts and inventory transactions.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies or quality concerns.
- Schedule and coordinate incoming and outgoing freight carriers as required.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, shipping, and yard area.
- Assist with general warehouse and production support duties as required.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing environments with steel or steel fabrication.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Forklift certification.
- Overhead crane experience preferred but not required
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Experience in metal fabrication, tank manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing outdoor storage yards and coordinating oversized loads.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing, warehouse, and outdoor yard environment.
- Frequent lifting, bending, standing, and moving materials.
- Exposure to industrial equipment, noise, weather conditions, and varying temperatures.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Friday - 6am - 1:30pm

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
