We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer to join our team. The Junior Interior Designer will work closely with all team members and providing exceptional customer service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Primary consultant that support customers from concept to design, including not limited to coordinating client, contract negotiations, project set-up, Invoicing, and project planning.
- Consults with the client to choose materials, furnishings and decor that will help fulfil the requirements and vision of the space.
- Conceptualises design plans and prepares sketches or other visual aids and ability to present designs to the client.
- Collaborative with clients and the team to achieve the functional and aesthetic needs of the space.
- Maintain project documentation and assist in preparing specifications
- Ensure the highest level of time management, attention to detail, and quality in all finished products.
- Stays up-to-date about current design trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in the interior design field.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 - 2+ years experience in Interior Design
- College diploma or university degree in Interior Design
- Experience with AutoCAD or 20/20 Design an asset
- Knowledge of various wood species, woodworking, and construction an asset
- Project Management experience an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Strong Basic Math Skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Solutions oriented approach with superior time management, multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
