Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Lab Technician – Shipping to join our team in London, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, and shipping completed products to customers while ensuring all shipments meet quality and documentation requirements. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and contribute to maintaining an efficient shipping operation.
The successful candidate must be able to work rotating shifts on a 2-week rotational basis, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 Midnight.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of the shipping process.
- Prepare and ship customer orders accurately according to work orders and specifications.
- Coordinate shipments with transportation companies to meet delivery schedules.
- Verify product codes, customer-specific brand requirements, and shipping documentation.
- Package products properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain daily shipping logs and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Track job progress and completion through production scanning systems.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including assembling boxes, storing equipment, cleaning stock, and maintaining work areas.
- Support general lab activities as needed to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent required.
- Experience working in a lab, manufacturing, or production environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of optical theory and lens production is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
