Chartered Accountant (CPA) – Construction Industry

This Role Is Not for Everyone
Apollo Building Group Ltd. is a fast-growing construction company looking for a strong, experienced Chartered Accountant (CPA) to take full control of accounting and office operations.
This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Manage Accounts Payable (AP) — vendor and subcontractor payments *
* Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) — client invoicing and collections *
* Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, and reports *
* Support job costing and project financial tracking *
* Assist with monthly close, year-end reporting, and financial analysis *
* Monitor cash flow, expenses, and cost control *
* Handle HST filings and ensure compliance *
Office & Administrative Responsibilities
* Maintain organized office systems and financial documentation *
* Manage contracts, invoices, and project records *
* Support day-to-day office operations *
* Coordinate with external accountants, vendors, and consultants *
* Take initiative and solve problems without constant supervision *
Requirements — NON-NEGOTIABLE
* CPA designation (Chartered Professional Accountant) — REQUIRED *
* Minimum 3 years of accounting experience — REQUIRED *
* Strong knowledge of: *
o* AP / AR *
o* Financial reporting *
o* Office accounting operations *
* Strong Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar software *
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment *
