Northwestern Systems Corporation specializes in the design, manufacture, and installation of Life Science products found in Vivarium and Laboratory Research facilities as well as Healthcare products used in Hospital Sterile Processing and Surgical departments. We distribute our products throughout North America, UK, and Asia with the help of experienced sales groups. The Laboratory Animal Life Sciences division manufactures products sold through in-house brand names such as BetterBuilt, Sure-Flo, Sure-VAC, and Activ.
Northwestern Systems Corporation is seeking an experienced General Laborer to join our dynamic Manufacturing Operations team.
- Be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly
- Have CSA approved steel toed boots
- Be punctual and reliable
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Forklift experience with valid ticket an asset, but not required
- Experience with use of hands and power tools an asset, but not required
- Experience in metal shop an asset, but not required
- Electrical experience an asset, but not required
- Shipping experience an asset, but not required
Duties:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the shop
- Assist the welders/fabricators on the shop floor
- Move tools, equipment, and other materials
- Assist the parts department
- General Yard clean up and maintenance
- Support with other duties as required
- Ideal candidate is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and works well in a team environment
- Ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and takes initiative
- Committed and strong attendance record
