To qualify, you will need to be a 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic, HVAC/R Technician, or equivalent Red Seal trade professional. A minimum of 2 years of commercial or industrial HVAC/R service, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience will also be essential. A valid driver's licence with a satisfactory driver's abstract is required.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting experience with commercial HVAC/R systems, controls, and mechanical equipment
- Experience working on chillers, VRF systems, or commercial refrigeration equipment
- EPA or equivalent refrigerant handling certification, or the ability to obtain one
