Job Overview:
Ingersoll Rand is seeking a diligent and skilled In-House Service Technician. The role involves a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual with at least three years of experience as mechanic in a relevant industry. Primarily focused on the disassembly, inspection, rebuilding, and maintenance of blowers and pumps. The position requires proficiency in dynamic balancing of lobes, regular performance of maintenance and repair tasks, and adherence to detailed inspection reports for troubleshooting and rectification of equipment malfunctions. The successful candidate will also assist in the dynamic balancing and testing of PD (Positive Displacement) blowers, contribute to the maintenance of the service facility, and collaborate with certified technicians on various projects. A basic understanding of mechanical equipment, particularly blowers, pumps, and vacuum trucks, is a strong asset. The role demands a candidate with the ability to interpret technical reports, a strong work ethic, team collaboration skills, and a commitment to safety and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Disassemble, Inspect & Rebuild Blowers
Perform regular maintenance and repair tasks on blowers and pumps.
Follow detailed inspection reports to assess and rectify equipment issues.
Assist in the dynamic balancing and testing of Positive Displacement (PD) blowers.
Contribute to the upkeep of the service and repair facility.
Ensure that all tasks are completed to meet or exceed specifications.
Collaborate with certified trades technicians in various maintenance projects.
Qualifications:
Mechanical experience (2 years of experience minimal).
Basic understanding of mechanical heavy equipment, specifically blowers and pumps, and vacuum trucks (strong asset).
Ability to interpret inspection reports and follow maintenance protocols.
Capable of adhering to safety standards and company policies.
Preferences:
Formal training in heavy equipment or industrial equipment (strong asset, not required).
Trade Certification (millwright, machinist, mechanic, etc).
A strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment.
Some welding experience.
