About Us
At Pair It with Speech, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers individuals of all ages to reach their fullest potential. As a growing private speech-language pathology clinic, we offer individualized, client-centered services for children, teens, and adults in a welcoming and collaborative environment.
We believe the best outcomes come from working together. As we expand our services to include occupational therapy, we are seeking an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about interdisciplinary care and excited to collaborate closely with our Speech-Language Pathologists through both individual therapy and co-treatment sessions. Together, we aim to help our clients build the skills and confidence needed to thrive in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify clients' strengths, challenges, and functional goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support participation in daily activities, self-care, fine and gross motor development, sensory processing, executive functioning, and other areas of occupational performance.
- Provide engaging, evidence-based therapy to children, teens, and adults using age-appropriate and client-centered approaches.
- Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to provide integrated care, including co-treatment sessions when appropriate.
- Partner with clients, families, caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support meaningful outcomes across home, school, work, and community settings.
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies, home programming, and recommendations to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and professional clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment notes, progress reports, and communication with referral sources.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development to support high-quality, collaborative care.
Requirements
- Registered and licensed Occupational Therapist in good standing with the appropriate provincial or state regulatory body.
- Experience working with pediatric clients is preferred; experience with adolescents and adults is an asset.
- Knowledge of sensory processing, fine motor development, self-regulation, executive functioning, activities of daily living, and evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and team members.
- Passion for collaborative, interdisciplinary practice and client-centered care.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
