Pharmacy Assistant (Full Time Immediate Opening)

East York Pharmasave is an independent, patient-focused community pharmacy dedicated to providing personalized care and high-quality compounding services. We are looking for an experienced, motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented Compounding Technician to join our growing team.
Position Details
- 3-month evaluation period with opportunity for growth
- Potential to transition into additional roles based on performance and business needs
Key Responsibilities
- Full pharmacy assistant responsibilities (cash, intake, processing, filling, blister billing, placing orders, inventory management)
- Prepare 5–9 compounded prescriptions per shift while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
- Compound a variety of dosage forms (e.g., creams, ointments, suspensions, capsules)
- Accurately document all compounding activities in accordance with regulatory and pharmacy requirements
- Perform and maintain equipment calibration as per standard operating procedures
- Follow and enforce proper garbing and hygiene protocols for compounding
- Order and manage compounding supplies to ensure appropriate inventory levels
- Maintain and clean compounding equipment and ensure a well-organized workspace
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to support optimal patient care
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of compounding experience in a pharmacy setting
- Experience with Kroll software system
- Strong understanding of compounding procedures, including calibration, garbing, and formulation techniques
- Experience in preparing a range of dosage forms
- Experience with Kroll pharmacy software
- Education as a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Assistant
- Highly organized with strong workflow management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 40 per week
