Duties
- Manage and coordinate the operation of building systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to optimize performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform equipment repairs on mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for construction, maintenance, or water treatment projects as needed.
- Oversee water treatment and wastewater processes, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and proper data collection for system monitoring.
- Troubleshoot system issues using analysis skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, mechanical adjustments, and system calibrations to prevent failures.
- Lead safety initiatives by training staff on heavy lifting procedures, proper equipment operation, and safety protocols in construction or maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS).
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely for construction or water treatment projects.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes, wastewater management, and related environmental regulations.
- Skilled in data collection and analysis to monitor system performance and identify improvements.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Excellent analysis skills with a keen eye for detail in system diagnostics.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity over extended periods.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, maintenance procedures, and safety standards in industrial or commercial settings.
