Our Cement Division plays a key role in these operations, handling the receiving, storage, packaging, and distribution of cement products to support both internal and external needs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the General Labourer is responsible for supporting daily operations at the facility. Duties include handling incoming shipments of cement powder, storing materials, operating the bagging line, loading products for distribution, and operating equipment such as forklifts. The role also involves performing general tasks as assigned to ensure efficient and safe plant operations.
THE DAY TO DAY:

Receive and assist with unloading incoming cement powder shipments

Store and organize materials within the facility
-
Operate the bagging line to package the cement products
-
Load finished products onto trucks for shipping
-
Operate forklifts and other equipment safely
-
Keep the work area clean and organized
-
Follow all health and safety procedures
-
Assist with inventory handling and material movement
-
Complete tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager
-
Transporting of cement from warehouse to silo’s and from cargo ship
WHAT YOU NEED:
An effective team member must have the following:

Must be hard working, punctual and a dedicated team player
-
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
-
Overhead crane experience as an asset as well
-
Forklift or heavy equipment experience would be an asset
-
Ability to read a tape measure (metric/imperial) an asset
-
Must have good organizational skills
-
Ability to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 lbs.

Able to speak and read English is an asset
