About IMTT
The Institute of Machine Tool Technology (IMTT) is a leading career college dedicated to preparing students for successful careers in manufacturing and skilled trades through industry-focused, hands-on training. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to expand our employer network and create employment opportunities for our students and graduates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers across the GTA manufacturing and skilled trades sectors.
- Secure co-op, internship, and employment opportunities for students enrolled in our CNC and Appliance Service Technician programs.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, employer partnerships, and corporate training opportunities.
- Meet with HR Managers, Plant Managers, Business Owners, and industry leaders to promote IMTT's training programs and workforce solutions.
- Represent IMTT at networking events, job fairs, and industry associations throughout the GTA.
- Maintain an active pipeline of employer contacts and partnership opportunities.
Qualifications
- Engineering background (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or a related discipline preferred).
- Proven business development experience within the manufacturing, skilled trades, technical education, or workforce development sectors.
- Strong network of employers and manufacturers across the Greater Toronto Area.
- Excellent knowledge of the GTA manufacturing market and hiring trends.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable travelling throughout the GTA to meet with employers and industry partners.
- An existing network within the manufacturing, machining, industrial, or appliance service industries is a significant asset.
