Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized food service area. This role is essential in ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers and supporting smooth restaurant operations.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties, with attention to accuracy and security.
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food preparation area, counters, and dining space in compliance with food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods while maintaining high-quality service.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to uphold health regulations.
- Assist in food industry operations such as serving customers, restocking supplies, and supporting kitchen staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and good communication abilities.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous.
- Ability to handle food properly and maintain cleanliness at all times.
- Willingness to learn new skills such as upselling techniques and food preparation methods.
Pay: $17.20-$22.74 per hour
