The People & Culture Advisor plays an integral role in helping Fine Choice Foods build an engaged, high-performing workforce and exceptional employee experience. As a trusted partner to leaders across the organization, you will provide practical HR guidance and leadership in areas including employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, performance management, leadership development, organizational culture, employee engagement, training, communications and talent development. Today, we supply to retailers across Canada and the US, while taking pride in producing our products with the same care and passion we began with. Summ! Responsibilities:

Work as a leader within the People & Culture team to provide HR guidance to all levels of staff, including interpreting company policies, employment legislation, and providing guidance regarding People & Culture initiatives and programs.

Consult with and advise Managers/Supervisors on employee issues – performance, absenteeism, conflict resolution and company policy implementation.

Recruitment and onboarding of new employees including posting job openings, screening and interviewing candidates.

Act as an employee advocate and address their various needs and concerns with empathy and humility.

Liaise with respective managers to coordinate the offboarding process for departing employees, conduct exit interviews and analyze results for continuous improvement.

Facilitate and support the Employee Partnership Committee and Social Committee with particular responsibility for developing an organizational culture that nurtures our guiding principles.

Innovate and lead various core initiatives, including but not limited to: Employee Experience, Wellness Events, Leadership Development, Annual Training, Compensation Planning, Talent Acquisitions, Performance Review, various employee recognition initiatives, etc.

Provide continual leadership and guidance to team members to increase their effectiveness and establish good working relationships.

Assist with Company events, holiday lunches, social activities.

Complete other special projects, duties, and assignments, as assigned.
Summ! Requirements:

3+ years of generalist HR experience in a Food & Beverage Manufacturing or Light Industrial setting.

Post secondary education in Human Resources or related field, and/or CPHR Certification or working towards it

Proven ability to establish priorities and organize work accordingly.

Versatile inter-personal skills and collaborative solutions-oriented approach
-
Experience in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment is preferred

You’re intellectually curious with a proven ability to apply learnings effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (additional languages are an asset).

Must have a BCDL and daily access to a vehicle for commuting to work
This full-time opportunity works on-site at both of our Richmond locations and offers a competitive salary range (based on experience) between $72,000 - $82,000 in addition to an attractive benefits package including Company paid Extended Health & Dental, RRSP Matching, Health Spending Account and more.
