Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in preparing accurate project cost estimates, supporting project planning, and ensuring competitive pricing for construction projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a collaborative environment, utilizing your expertise in construction estimating and project management to contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality construction services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Utilize Bluebeam and WinEst softwares to develop detailed bid proposals and manage estimating data efficiently.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate costs and ensure competitive pricing.
- Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets, providing accurate forecasts for project planning purposes.
- Review and analyze bid documents, contracts, and change orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support project management teams during the bidding process and throughout project execution by providing cost insights and updates.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and related documentation for future reference.
- Attend pre-bid site visits
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, WinEst and other estimating or project management software is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms.
- Strong background in project management principles within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, cost control measures, and budgeting techniques relevant to large-scale construction projects.
- Construction experience across various sectors is advantageous for understanding diverse project requirements.

Pay: $52,323.86-$115,368.39 per year

Experience:
- Canadian Construction Estimating: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
