Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Raymond Reach Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling inventory movement and order fulfillment using a Raymond reach forklift, a specialized piece of equipment designed for high-reach storage systems. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate order picking, and safe handling of goods. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude, proficiency with warehouse management systems, and a strong commitment to safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Raymond reach forklifts safely and efficiently to retrieve and store products in high shelving units
- Perform order picking with precision, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected for shipment
- Utilize clamp trucks and other material handling equipment as needed to move heavy or bulky items
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to maintain optimal functioning and report any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean, orderly storage areas
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and improve workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience operating Raymond reach forklifts in a warehouse environment
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and order picking procedures
- Ability to operate clamp trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment proficiently
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking
- Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or moving
- Knowledge of safety standards related to forklift operation and warehouse work
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
