Role Impact:
As the Coordinator, Tenant Projects, you are responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of tenant construction projects within our retail & office environments. You will own and coordinate the full project lifecycle, from initiation, planning and design through to execution and completion, ensuring every project is delivered on schedule, within budget and to a high standard of quality. You will work closely with many different user groups, bringing together internal departments, external consultants and contractors to deliver various aspects of projects. You will protect Cadillac Fairview's contractual interests and ensure all work meets regulatory standards.

What you will deliver:
- Drive the development of scopes of work for proposed projects, creating detailed descriptions and requirements to enable accurate contractor tenders
- Evaluate construction tenders, and make recommendations; Prepare & issue contracts
- Monitor base building, Landlord & Tenant construction, regularly inspecting progress to ensure timely delivery and adherence to CF standards
- Administer progress payments by reviewing and approving contractor’s invoices, assessing contract status, liaising with consultants and accounting and issue Purchase Orders
- Oversee project execution, ensuring deliverables are met on time, on budget and according to specifications
- Collaborate with Client Design and Delivery teams on deficiency reports, coordinating with designers, engineers and contractors to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with relevant standards and design documents
- Serve as a key operational liaison for internal and external parties to provide project updates and information (i.e. leasing, operations, consultants)
- Review consultants’ reports, invoices, project documents, correspondence, and leases and recommend payments
- Collect data from contractors and consultants regarding base building renovations, demolition and restoration budgets to support leasing, accounting and annual budget development
- Participate in cross-functional project and operations meetings to share critical information and provide operational support as necessary
- Coordinate with leasing regarding construction budgets, planning and day-to-day execution as required
- Assist property management with the coordination of tenant move-in and move-out activities
- Coordinate with security to arrange access to contractors and tenant contractors as needed
- Draft business cases for all applicable landlord work projects
- Oversee day-to-day tenant construction projects to ensure alignment with building rules and guidelines
- Manage landlord related work and projects, tracking progress to meet lease requirements and prescribed deadlines
- Maintain comprehensive records of all as-built drawings
- Manage special projects as required
What your strengths are:
- Ability to read, interpret and present architectural, mechanical, electrical and structural drawings

What you need to succeed:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years progressive experience in one or more of the following: construction (field and office), project management
- Comprehensive technical skills, understanding of Building Code and project management skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Building Construction Technology, Construction Management or related fields
- PMG designation or working towards an asset
- Knowledge of industry and related technology
